How Should Christians View Science?

Who created the scientific method? To be honest, this is not clear. Many scientists had a way of discovering and observing the natural world. For example, we have Aristotle from about 384-322BC, who had a method of his own. Now when it comes to the scientific method, why does it matter how you do it as long as you are truthful and come up with the same results? This is important because people are biased when it comes to discoveries that they find. Many of us instantly conclude that we are right. For example, when we look at bones that look familiar to humans, should we instantly come to the answer that we came from that animal or evolution is true? No. Obviously. We have to look deeper into the evidence because when you don't look at why something is the way it is, you miss key elements of that discovery and you end up doing the same thing your opponent does that you want to prove wrong. Like creationists and atheists. The atheist will say "Look I found a bone, therefore evolution is true!" and the creationist will say "Look  we found this!" You don't get anywhere arguing like kids. So what should we do?

Great Christian Scientist

First of all Christianity and Science go hand in hand. In today's world, that claim is bold. But let's be clear here on what science is. Science is the observation, identification, description, experimental investigation, and theoretical explanation of phenomena. Science is just a method to gain more knowledge and understanding of how the natural world works. It's also searching for answers through observation. When it comes to Christianity, our belief is based on faith. And that faith is in a perfect, omnipotent, omniscient Creator. We can use science and the tools provided to us by great scientists to have a greater understanding of God created the universe and how complex the creation is. Because that's what Atheists are doing, they are making the case for us while trying to disprove God with science. However, there is a danger when scientists hold their faith in human logic instead of faith in the Creator which is no different than what we do, but we have faith in God.

1 Peter 3:15-16
"But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord.
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander."

So how should Christians view science then? Simple. We should use science as a way of defending the faith. This can be done through apologetics. The English word “apology” comes from a Greek word that means “to give a defense.” So for Christians, it is the science of giving a defense of the Christian faith. Christian apologetics simply gives a reasonable defense of the Christian faith and truth to those who disagree. Christian apologetics is a necessary aspect of the Christian life. We are all commanded to be ready and equipped to proclaim the gospel and defend our faith (Matthew 28:18-201 Peter 3:15). That is the essence of Christian apologetics.
